2021 Independence Day events in Southwest Florida for Families
Start the summer with a bang! Last year's holiday festivities were canceled and we were left to celebrate Independence day from home. But this year some cities and businesses have organized special events from Cape Coral to Naples, for you to enjoy with all your favorite people. We have rounded up a few local events for you to have a rocking Fourth of July!
01 Morning Festivities
Get the most out of this holiday by starting the day early. Whether you choose to participate or spectate the view of the sunrise will be worth it (weather permitting). Or, cook a homemade breakfast with the family and catch the parade downtown.
02 Live Music
Start with live music to set the vibe for the night. If you are celebrating as a family or a romantic evening for two, a park or concert hall setting would be perfect. Prefer a more lively scene? Drop by a local bar or restaurant. See if the options below are near your final firework viewing destination.
Worship Concert & BBQ at Church of the Nazarene 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Grateful 4th of July Big Banger at Buddha Live Noon till Midnight
Deb & the Dynamic at Doc Fords 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

03 Bring your own Blanket
If you're not a fan of the sand, head to a park instead. Cape Coral has their own celebration that includes: kids' rides, a climbing wall, obstacle courses, face painting, live music, and over 60 vendors to dine and shop from. The city of Naples has also named June as Parks & Recreation Month so pack your picnic games and finger-friendly snacks to join the community in celebration.
04 Adults Only
If you wish to have reserved seating, join an exclusive party and possibly stay the night in town, then the following adults' friendly options will be perfect. This year there are a few different 4th of July bashes to attend locally. All locations have live music, dinner buffets, drinks, and a great view of the Fort Myers Beach Fireworks. All you have to do is decide if you want to be inside overlooking the water or escape to a garden rooftop bar.
05 Fireworks with Laser Light Show
Bonita Springs is hosting its Annual Star-Spangled Bonita. This is the perfect time to take a stroll down the avenues and check out the latest renovations. The celebration will be held at Riverside Park from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Everything you need for a fun time including live music, food and beverage options, and activities for the children. The night is completed with fireworks and a laser light show.
06 Fireworks at the Beach
Seeing the blazing colors glow in the sky and bounce off the water adds to the beauty of the show. There are many ways to enjoy the view whether you are on a boat in the water, inshore on the sand, or dining nearby. Check out the events and their details below to enjoy this year's show near the water.
Events are subject to change due to the weather. Be sure to check in with the event organizer or venue the day of for up-to-date details. Lastly, have an exciting time with your loved ones, but most importantly do not drink and drive.
